How to Push Yourself in Crunch Situations

Sometimes at work and in life, we may have to push ourselves. This is inevitable. For example – a work deadline, test, or interview is tomorrow. Your preparation/deliverables are far from complete.

Therefore, you decide to work all night. You can do it in two ways – beat yourself up for procrastination or blame yourself for being stupid to keep things incomplete until the last moment OR give yourself some dopamine highs during the night.

You should take the second option, which is better. To do that, you can get red bulls/monster, coffee, your favourite snacks and chocolates. You can then turn off any distraction. Put some work music and get your headphones/earphones ready for the fight. You will soon find that the grind will not be that bad. You will gain confidence that you have a system that you can take out from your kitty like the ultimate trump card in dire situations. But you should use it occasionally unless you want dark circles under your eyes and look 10 years older.
